This Cookie Policy explains how RampVera Limited (“RampVera”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on rampvera.com, including our marketing pages and the RampVera application.
It covers both visitors to our public website and users of the RampVera platform. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle personal data.
If you are an employee of an organisation that uses RampVera, note that your employer is the data controller for the content you create in the platform. We remain the controller for the cookies described here, because they relate to the operation of the site and the application itself.

2What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site recognise your browser across page loads and visits, for example, to keep you signed in.
Other technologies can store information on your device in a similar way,
including the browser storage known as localStorage and
sessionStorage. RampVera’s own code stores nothing in either
of them. The optional marketing tool described in
section 4.3 uses localStorage, and
only if you have accepted it. Where this policy refers to
“cookies”, it means all of these technologies unless stated otherwise.
Cookies are described as first-party when set by rampvera.com itself, and third-party when set by another organisation whose service we have embedded in our pages.
3Your choices
Strictly necessary cookies are always on. Marketing cookies are off unless you accept them.
Strictly necessary cookies keep the service working. They sign you in, protect forms against attack, and route your requests to the right server. RampVera cannot function without them, and the law does not require us to ask permission for cookies that are essential to a service you have asked for, so we set them without asking. You can still block them in your browser, but you will not be able to sign in.
Marketing cookies are optional. If you accept them, we load a tool from Apollo, a sales platform, on our public website. It tells us which companies visit and, for visitors in the United States, which people, so that our sales team can follow up. To do that it stores an identifier in your browser and sends Apollo the pages you view here, the page or campaign link that brought you, and your IP address. For visitors in the United States it also loads a script from LiveIntent, an advertising identity company, which sets cookies of its own and tries to match your browser to an email address. Section 4.3 lists everything the two of them store.
If you decline, none of that is loaded: no script from Apollo or LiveIntent is sent to your browser at all. Declining takes one click, the same as accepting, and does not restrict your access to anything on the site. The tool runs on our public website only, never inside the RampVera application.
We set nothing else. There is no analytics tool, we run no advertising or retargeting, and we embed no social media pixels.
How we ask. When you first arrive, a notice asks whether you accept all cookies, only the essential ones, or want to choose category by category. Nothing optional is loaded before you answer, and no answer is treated as a yes. We remember your answer for six months and then ask afresh.
What we record is only which categories you allowed: a short list of names, not a note of what you refused. That is deliberate: a category invented after you answered cannot appear in a list written before it existed, so anything new is switched off for you until you are asked about it.
If you answered our notice before marketing cookies were introduced, we are asking you again. Until then this site set strictly necessary cookies only, and the notice said so. An answer given to that notice is not treated as agreement to what is described here, whichever answer it was.
If this changes again, we will ask you first. Any further non-essential cookie would be introduced with a consent notice that sets nothing before you agree, declining would be as easy as accepting and would not restrict your access to anything on the site, and this page would be updated to describe exactly what is set and for how long. Our Privacy Policy sets out the legal bases we rely on and your rights in full.
Change your mind
This forgets the answer you gave and asks you again, so you can accept or decline afresh. If you had accepted marketing cookies, they stop being loaded and what Apollo and LiveIntent stored in your browser for this site is removed. There is no penalty for changing your answer, and it does not restrict anything on the site.

4.2 Analytics
We do not use analytics cookies. RampVera has no analytics tool deployed on this site or in the application. The marketing tool in section 4.3 does record which pages you view, but for sales follow-up and only with your consent.
If we introduce analytics, we will ask for your consent before anything is set, and this section will name the tool, list every cookie it sets and say how long each one lasts.
4.3 Marketing
Set only if you accept marketing cookies, and only on our public website. The tool is Apollo’s website tracker, provided by ZenLeads, Inc. (trading as Apollo.io) in the United States. We use it to see which companies visit this site and, for visitors in the United States, which people, so that our sales team can follow up.
What Apollo receives: each page you view here, the page or campaign link that brought you to the site, the identifier listed below, and your IP address. From these Apollo works out the company you are visiting from.
What happens for visitors in the United States. Apollo tells us it tries to identify individual people only for visitors in the United States. For those visitors its tool also loads a script from LiveIntent, Inc., an advertising identity company in the United States. LiveIntent receives your IP address and the address of the page you are on, sets the cookies listed below, and tries to match your browser to an email address it already knows. If it can, it returns that address in a scrambled (hashed) form, which is sent to Apollo with your page views. Apollo may then show us your name and work contact details.

These are other companies’ scripts. Apollo and LiveIntent each also use what they receive for their own purposes, and LiveIntent’s include advertising. Their own policies describe that: Apollo’s privacy policy and LiveIntent’s privacy policy. They can change what their scripts store without our doing anything; we check this table when the tool changes.
To stop it, use “Reset my cookie choice” in
section 3 and then decline. The tool is no longer
loaded and everything in the table that is stored for this site is removed from
your browser. The one item we cannot remove is LiveIntent’s own
lidid cookie, because it belongs to liadm.com and not to this site:
delete it in your browser (section 5) or use the opt-out in LiveIntent’s
privacy policy. To have Apollo’s record of your visits deleted, write to us
at
privacy@rampvera.com.
4.4 What we do not use
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies of our own, and we do not embed social media tracking pixels. We do not sell your data. The only time data about your visit reaches a marketing or advertising company is the case described in section 4.3, and only if you have accepted marketing cookies.
5Controlling cookies in your browser
Independently of this policy, you can manage cookies through your browser settings: blocking them, deleting those already stored, or asking to be warned before one is set. Instructions are available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to RampVera and will stop parts of the application from working.
6Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability, under the GDPR. To exercise any of these, contact us at privacy@rampvera.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Ours is the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie), but you may also complain to the authority in your own country of residence. In Germany, that is your state or federal Data Protection Commissioner.
7Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services and the technologies we use change. When we make material changes to the cookies we set, we will update the date at the top of this page. If we introduce further cookies that need your consent, we will ask you for it before setting them rather than relying on this page having changed, as we did when marketing cookies were introduced.
